Complience.app and iubenda
iubenda is often the policy generator and the cookie banner. Complience.app does not write a privacy policy and does not replace the banner. It checks the live page for cookies that fired before anyone clicked Accept.
Does a generated cookie policy prove the tags waited?
No. A policy page describes what you meant to do. A first-load scan records what the browser did. iubenda can publish the policy and show the banner. Complience.app does not generate either document. It loads the public URL in Playwright and lists cookies and third-party requests before any consent click.
The UK ICO treats consent as a clear positive action, not as the existence of a policy URL. Keep the iubenda documents. Use the scan when you need the request log next to them.
What iubenda does that this scan does not
iubenda drafts privacy and cookie policies and can run a consent banner with a stored choice. Complience.app does not review that legal text, does not inject a banner, and does not keep a per-visitor consent record.

What to look for in the report
Look for marketing hosts on the first load: analytics, ads, and leftovers the vendor list does not already know. If they appear before Accept, the banner did not hold that request, whatever the policy says.
The worker does not click through iubenda’s preference panel. Clicking Accept would hide the leak you are trying to show.
Who should use both
Teams that already bought iubenda for the documents and still need a sendable check of the live site. Freelancers who do not want to claim the policy made the tags behave.
If you do not have a banner yet, start with a consent manager. This scan will only show you the leak. It will not close it.
Where this sits
Method notes live on the cookie consent scanner. The ICO’s cookies guidance is the public rule of thumb next to the table. A banner screenshot is not the scan.
