Section 508 website checker
Section 508 is US federal ICT law. For websites it points at WCAG. Complience.app runs axe-core WCAG 2.2 A/AA on a public page and records cookies before consent. It does not certify that a property meets Section 508.
What a Section 508 checker can prove
The same machine-testable WCAG failures as our website accessibility checker: missing names, empty controls, numeric contrast, language and title. Cookie and header evidence sit in the same pack because many federal-facing sites still load marketing scripts on first paint.
What it cannot prove
Keyboard access, assistive-technology compatibility, and a VPAT. If procurement asked for an ACR, hire an auditor. Our audit page explains the split. For private-sector legal-fear queries, use the ADA compliance checker.
